The Position 

We currently have an exciting full time opportunity for an experienced hands on Tavern and Retail Supervisor, who has a passion for customer service to join our team!

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will supervise our bar and retail operations. You will have exceptional customer service skills and have the knowledge and drive to maximise the customer experience, drives sales and deliver outstanding service to each and every customer.

Key duties

  • Ensure the Tavern and Retail areas are well stocked and tidy before peak service periods.
  • You will be able to work all areas of the Bar and Retail stores
  • You will be required to work split shifts from 7.00 am-12.00 pm and 4.30 pm-9.00 pm
  • You will supervise and allocate duties to other tavern and retail staff.
  • Run a smooth service including taking orders, preparing and serving drinks and closing down the bar and shop at the correct operating times.
  • Responsible for cash handling and be comfortable with different payment types
  • Conduct accurate stocktakes and assist with ordering and stock rotation
  • Maximise sales and profitability in both retail outlet and tavern by soliciting, identifying and delivering on opportunities for growth
  • Ensuring HACCP process and procedures are met and maintained
  • Implementing and maintaining food safety and responsible service of alcohol standards
  • Enhancing workplace culture through a bright and friendly service

The Person

  • Ideally you will have a certificate IV Hospitality (Supervision)
  • Retail experience essential but retail management experience is also advantageous
  • Bar experience essential
  • Possession of an RSA and/or RMLV
  • POS and Micros system experience
  • Word and Excel Literate
  • A passion for hospitality with the ability to motivate and promote team members to achieve exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills with Clients, Customers and Staff 
  • Strong Occupational Health and Safety Focus and HACCP adherence 
  • Able to meet the physical demands of a fast paced, dynamic environment 
  • Possess a positive, 'can-do' attitude
