The position:

We are currently recruiting an experienced HR Manager to support a diverse portfolio of sectors which include Senior Living, Hospitals, Supply Chain, Commercial and Business Development.

Working closely with business leaders, you will support the development of a high performing culture, improve people related systems, processes and practices and drive people focused initiatives that are fit for purpose within our organisation. 

You will have both the experience and confidence to provide local HR/ER advice and to drive the Company‚Äôs national industrial relations, diversity and training & development initiatives within the portfolio. 

Our Opportunity:

Reporting to the National HR & Risk Manager for Urban, the HR Manager will

  • Consult, coach and educate on HR/ER matters including employee relations, performance management, remuneration, HR policies & procedures and performance management
  • Coach and support Leaders with engaging and retaining our people
  • Partner with business leaders on key talent initiatives such as development and succession planning. Roll-out of national HR initiatives, strategies and tools and monitor adherence with industrial instruments and HR metrics
  • Build and maintain partnerships with external stakeholders such as unions, governments departments and industry associations
  • Support strategies and programmes to increase diversity within our business areas
  • Forecast future workforce requirements
  • Contribute to preparing and reviewing of materials for bids and tenders
  • Support with mobilisations ensuring our HR mobilisation framework is utilised
  • Collaborate with the broader HR team
  • Work with operations teams to optimise labour and develop initiatives which will improve business performance
  • Contribute to our safe operations

Talent Profile:

We are looking for an individual who is motivated by making a sustainable difference, collaborating with others and focused on continuous improvement. You will be tertiary qualified in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or other relevant degree and will be able to demonstrate the below:

  • experience with a range of generalist HR disciplines, within a geographically dispersed workforce that is unionised;
  • in hospitality, retail or others services industries would be preferred;
  • ability to influence diverse groups of people and develop strong relationships;
  • interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements to provide sound advice to Leaders and individuals;
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in all MS applications and use of HR databases;
  • good analytical and report writing skills;
  • a passion for people, with decisions driven by data; and
  • experience working in an environment with a strong focus on safety.
