The Position 

We are seeking a suitably qualified Personal Trainer (Active Life Coordinator) to join our Active Life team on a casual basis in Rolleston. This position requires you to maintain a high level of resident interaction including group presentations, therefore strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to independently plan, organise and coordinate active life programs.

The roles will include the provision and implementation of Health and Lifestyle services to village workforce whilst working closely with our Activelife Manager and Dieticians to ensure the fitness and wellbeing of the client's workforce. This role is a Drive in, Drive out position working a 2:1 roster - ideal for locals from the Rolleston, Springsure, Emerald and surrounding areas.

Key duties

  • The ability to implement and assist in the coordination of company-wide health and wellness strategies and programs and onsite events
  • Be able to run a variety of classes and programs on site
  • Promote company Health and Lifestyle services and enhance awareness and participation of these services within the village environment
  • Work both as part of a team and independently as required

The Person

  • You will have a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science or Cert IV in Fitness (Personal Training)
  • Experience in any of the following disciplines, Pilates, Yoga, Les Mills, Zumba, Body Pump
  • The ability to implement and assist in the coordination of company-wide health and wellness strategies and initiatives  and actively promote onsite lifestyle and fitness events in and around the village
  • Proven history of gym-based personal goal / program setting experience with clients
  • A pro-active, well organised approach to work independently, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A demonstration of personal commitment to an active and healthy lifestyle
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a team
