The position

Retail Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the National Offshore and Remote Retail manager, and ESS remote sites with all agreed initiatives to drive retail revenue and compliance to all initiatives across ESS WA sites.

Role responsibilities

• Assist in retail store refurbishments of existing retail offers
• Implementation of new retail offers within new and existing sites
• Assist with Site mobilisations
• Measure and report compliance to all retail programmes
• Provide sites with retail/sales upskilling training
• Assist retail staff with Micros point of sale (POS) training
• Implement agreed retail core product range by category
• Implement agreed supplier planograms (POG’s) by category
• Implement and measure all retail promotions
• Assist with improving the resident experience within the retail environment
• Promote “User Pay” retail initiatives across all retail and tavern sites

Planning & Scheduling Responsibilities

• Provide regular compliance reports to all retail programmes
• Provide training programme for sites
• Execution and implementation of agreed retail strategies

Our ideal person

• Experience within a Retail organisation, Grocery and/or Petrol & Convenience (P&C) or FMCG supplier
• Previous experience within the remote/off shore mining sector an advantage
• Prior OH&S training and/or accreditation
• Prior Food Hygiene training and/or accreditation
• Sound IT skills including Word, Excel (ability to utilise pivot tables, formulas, macros etc) & PowerPoint
• Good knowledge of accounting and budgeting including experience in cash handling and reconciliation
• Proven capacity to coordinate and drive projects from start to finish
• Demonstrated skills in handling high stress/high pressure environments
• Travel regularly as required.


• Experience working in the hospitality industry
• Experience coordinating business change management initiatives
• Associate Diploma in Retail/Hospitality related field
• Train the Trainer qualification
