The Position  

We have a vacancy at one of our corporate sites on the Upper North Shore and would love to hear from you! We're looking for a hands on Cafe Manager/Barista, someone who's passionate about service, food & most of all people. You'll be leading a small team in ensuring that we offer the best food & service offer to our clients.

This role has full responsibility for the day to day operation of the site, including food preparation, making coffees & serving clients, cash handling and overall management of the team. You'll be fully supported by the Area Operations Manager and will thrive on client and customer interaction, getting the best out of your team and exceeding our client’s expectations.

This is an exciting and varied position which requires an organised customer service super star, who can multi task and is ready to take the next step into management of a small site. 

Key Duties

  • Lead the team and site operation, encouragement of mentoring and development
  • All aspects of food preparation, service and delivery
  • Administrative duties, including Cost control and financial reporting
  • Establish and maintain a safe work environment; ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to ensure a sustainable safety culture
  • Ensuring Food Safety standards are met and adhered to
  • Establishing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships

The Person

  • Minimum 3 years operational/supervisory experience in a comparable environment
  • Strong negotiation, problem solving and decision making skills whilst thinking on your feet
  • Positive, supportive, ambitious leader with experience in carrying out personal development plans, staff training sessions and appraisals
  • Develops effective relationships with individuals at all levels, from diverse backgrounds, cultures and locations
  • Is passionate about delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction and engagement
  • Will have great attention to detail with an excellent ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Passion for great food and service
