This is a FIFO role form Brisbane and successful candidates will be stationed on the new mobile camps. You do not need your official Cert 3 Commercial Cookery – this is the perfect role for an experienced Cook who has worked in commercial kitchens with exposure to bulk quantities.

As the Compass Group business grows, so does our teams! With the launch of a new multi-site project launching in the Cooper Basin, we are seeking experienced and excited team members join us for the mobilisation and lifespan of this new adventure.

An interview day is being held in our Compass Group Brisbane office on Wednesday 20/06/2018 where further details about our company and this new project will be discussed in detail. All attendees will have a face to face interview with one of our recruitment team members on the day.

The Role:

Our kitchen teams come from experience in preparing high volumes or bulk cooking backgrounds. Being on a mobile camp site you will be open to challenges and have the ability to be inventive when these challenges arise.

  • Maintaining a high standard of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards
  • Ensuring all OH&S compliance is an achieved, adhere to safe work practices and safe food handling procedures
  • Ensure all catering controls are in place and wastage is kept to the minimum
  • Model high standards of performance and behaviour

The Person:

  • Availability to commence this role in the next two weeks
  • You will have a minimum of three years as a Cook and understand the demands of a commercial kitchen
  • Bulk catering experience (essential)
  • Solid understanding of classic techniques
  • Ability to maintain a calm and respectful demeanour at all times; no matter the circumstance
