Are you ready for a change and wanting to move into the world of aviation? We’ve now landed at Melbourne Airport where we are currently seeking a Full Time Lounge Manager to lead our team and ensure the delivery of 5-star service to our client. 

You’ll be responsible for executing the daily activities of the Premier Airport Lounge including operational, financial, administrative and people management responsibilities. 

You will be an exceptionally strong leader with well-rounded hospitality experience that will enable you to lead your team through effective coaching, development and performance management to ensure ongoing business enhancement that maximises the  experience for the business and leisure travellers and also delivers outstanding customer service.

Key Duties: 

  • Provide leadership and management to support the client and be the Eurest Melbourne Airport ambassador 
  •  
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of services in a airport lounge environment
  • Monitor and ensure food quality, service standards & initiatives, food & workplace safety, management systems, processes & procedures are implemented, measured and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Cost control financial reporting
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve ongoing improvements
  • Liaise with the client located on site regularly to ensure we are providing the best service at the highest standard
  • Hands-on role at operational level to ensure smooth running of the lounge
  • Attract, develop and retain the best talent in the industry through continuous improvement and training
  • Develop and exercise relevant legislative knowledge required for business compliance

The Person:

  • Strong commercial acumen gained from within the relevant sector
  • Previous managerial experience in the industry, with a passion for hospitality is essential
  • Excellent communication and personal skills well suited to building business relationships with existing clients at a senior executive level.
  • Strong and decisive leadership skills with ability to build effective and engaged teams
  • Strong financial and analytical skills in interpreting budgets and forecasting to ensure a sustainable & profitable business.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with senior sector and functional stakeholders.
  • Confident in presenting solutions and continuous improvement initiatives to client representatives.
  • Ability to work independently with general direction from leadership

 

As part of our occupational requirement of this role the successful applicant will be required to complete an ASIC clearance (airport security).
