Expressions of interest – Chef Managers

We’re growing our portfolio and as a result, are seeking interest from senior Chefs who are looking for a work/life balance (no late nights or lots of weekend work!) but still be involved in the day to day running of the kitchen.

You’ll be “on the tools” but will be responsible for leading, motivating and developing all staff on site, both front and back of house, you’ll be a passionate foodie with an understanding of nutrition and allergen awareness but have the ability to create amazing culinary offerings that appeal to school kids!

As well as being an amazing Chef, we’d expect you to bring a strong Commercial mindset to our business and have an eye for detail, quality and presentation. You’ll have a proven record in your previous roles for positive and effective stakeholder engagement with the ability to connect and relate to individuals at all levels, from diverse backgrounds, cultures and locations.

And most importantly, you’ll be passionate about being part of our global family, delivering the highest levels of customer and client satisfaction and going “above & beyond” in ensuring we exceed our client’s expectations in all aspects of delivery.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop, train & motivate your team to ensure premium standards are maintained
  • Cost control and financial reporting
  • Driving the Safety Culture at site; initiating and implementing project ideas to drive commitment to safety
  • Ensuring Food Safety standards are met and adhered to
  • Liaising with above unit management and support services
  • Establishing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
  • Work across function, boarding and retail continuously striving for improvement & growth

A Bit About You

  • Minimum 3 years operational management ideally in hotel/conference or similar education environment
  • Commercially savvy and knows how to identify and deliver on growth opportunities
  • Positive, supportive, ambitious leader with experience in carrying out personal development plans, staff training sessions and appraisals
  • Develops effective relationships with individuals at all levels, from diverse backgrounds, cultures and locations
  • Is passionate about delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction and engagement
  • Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Passion for great food and service – hospitality is running through your veins!
