The Position

Based in our Perth office and reporting to the HR Services Manager, the HR Advisor role forms part of a national HR Services Team that provides HR support to our many and various site locations. You will be responsible for supporting our line Managers by providing customer-focussed HR support and advice to managers that aligns and adheres to organisational policies, procedures and legal requirements. This includes award/ agreements interpretation, policy advice, employee grievance support, performance management support,, absence management and the conducting of exit interviews.

A bit about your new role:

  • Provide advice and support to line managers on HR/ER matters including performance management, remuneration, and HR policies & procedures
  • Coach line managers on how to engage, develop, reward and retain their employees
  • Assist in the resolution of employee grievances
  • Roll-out HR initiatives, strategies and tools, and monitor compliance with industrial instruments and HR metrics
  • Collaborate with the broader HR team to ensure a seamless delivery to all stakeholders
  • Assist with reporting and data requests and monitoring compliance with our industrial instruments

A bit about you:

  • Broad range of generalist HR experience, within a workforce that is unionised
  • Demonstrable experience in Awards and Enterprise Agreements interpretation
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in navigating a variety of HR and reporting systems
  • Safety First advocate & change agent
  • Proactive, well organised, and can work autonomously in an unsupervised environment
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations
