We currently have a number of casual opportunities for Catering Assistants to join our hospital team based in Waratah. The ideal candidate will have previous catering or similar experience, be flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment with knowledge of food preparation, food safety and a proven ability to work unsupervised.

To be considered for this role our ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate:

• Previous Catering Assistant experience (preferably in a hospital or aged care environment)
• Ability to prepare and serve food items in accordance with strict food safety guidelines
• Demonstrated knowledge of hygiene standards and Workplace Health and Safety
• Commitment to respond to customer requests in a timely and friendly manner
• Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
• A discreet and respectful manner
• High level of personal presentation and hygiene
• Flexibility to work shifts during the weekdays and weekends

In line with the required legislation, a valid and current criminal record check along with staff health assessment will be required as part of the standard recruitment and selection process for this position.
