The Position

ESS Support Services Worldwide, part of Compass Group PLC, provide catering and associated services to the mining and construction industries. ESS Ginkgo Village currently have a Full-time position available for an Assistant Manager. This role will be reporting to the Site Manager on a 14/7 Roster. You will work with our hardworking, driven and motivated Ginkgo team and be provided with meals and accommodation whilst on site.

Duties

• Responsible for providing daily support to the Site Manager
• Perform and execute tasks as directed and supervise the operations of the village
• Work with fellow employees, residents and assist with safety and quality requirements for the organisation
• Designing and implementing rosters
• Organising catering requests, housekeeping and grounds staff

The Person

• Your wealth of experience/knowledge in hospitality and management functions is a mandatory requirement
• Exceptional communication and relationship skills
• Intermediate to advanced administrative and computer skills
• Working experience with accommodation booking systems INX InFlight (preferable), SAM, or VAMS), Coverga, Oracle, MICROS POS, or ability to learn these systems
• Display excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of HACCP (desirable)
• Cert III or higher in Hospitality (desirable)
• Certificate in OHS (desirable)
• RSA (desirable)
