We have a unique opportunity for a  cleaner to join our team based at Queensland Children’s Hospital in South Brisbane. Working in a small team, you will be responsible for various tasks such as waste removal, floor care, external pressure washing, and carpet and furniture cleaning. You would also be required to work in clinical areas across the hospital such as theatre, discharge, and the emergency department. 

The Person

  • Previous cleaning experience within a hospital or clinical environment
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and ability to work independently and unsupervised as required
  • Experience with operating cleaning equipment
  • Experience with hospital waste or waste environment (highly regarded)
  • Great communication skills
  • Physically fit and reliable
  • Flexible availability across 7 days and the hours required
  • Must be able to be fitted with a N95/P2 respirator mask and to remain clean shaven (if applicable) 

In line with the required Legislation, must undertake a Police Check, as well as evidence of Vaccine Preventable Diseases (Hepatitis B immunity - Measles, mumps, rubella - Chicken pox - Whooping cough - Tuberculosis Assessment) will be required as part of the standard recruitment and selection process for this position. You must also be vaccinated against COVID 19.
