We’re seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our Business Development team in Perth. Your role is to deliver commercial results by implementing and continuously improving the bid and proposal process.

Working closely with the sales team, you will project manage bid activities for opportunities across Australia. Your initial focus will be on leading bids across our Offshore & Remote sector, with potential for involvement across our other key sectors too (Business & Industry, Healthcare & Seniors, Education, Defence, and Sports & Leisure).

This is a pivotal role in the Business Development team. You will manage the bidding life cycle and lead the delivery of winning tender responses for key contracts. As a results-driven professional, you will engage with key stakeholders across the business to  develop solutions to the client’s requirements and articulate these in a compelling bid submission.  

The Position

  • Managing the development of high-quality bids and proposals, ensuring all requirements and milestones are met
  • Understanding the key client drivers and associated bid strategies, and articulating our solution in a clear, concise and compelling response
  • Collaborating with teams throughout the business to develop innovative solutions and commercial offers
  • Liaising with leaders to ensure all opportunities are appropriately resourced
  • Managing the bid lodgement and bid governance processes
  • Acting as the central point of contact for bid requests for the sales and operations teams
  • Writing, editing, reviewing and managing bid content
  • Continuously improving our bid processes and tools (including procedures, templates and content library) to streamline bid preparation and improve submission quality

The Person

  • Experience in bid management and a successful track record
  • Ability to work with the team to identify and understand key client issues in order to develop a winning operational solution and commercial offer
  • Ability to extract the key elements of the solution and offer in order to develop a compelling bid that clearly articulates the value of our offer
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage diverse project teams including senior leaders
  • Highly competent with MS Office (and ideally capable with Adobe InDesign)
