We’re currently recruiting for a Bid Support Analyst to join our award-winning Foodbuy team.  Based in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, or Sydney, you'll be reporting into the National Manager of Product Optimisation.

You will work across the Foodbuy team as the focal point for CGA in the receipt, review and response to both proposed new client menu designs in addition to providing the same insight and challenge to BAU menu design refresh across the Compass sectors.

The Role

  • Acting as the focal point, on behalf of Foodbuy, to CGA and BD clients in providing challenge, recommendations and input to costed menu design
  • Working within the team in the design, development, recommendations and presentation of sector specified products focused on driving culinary cost and labour improvements
  • Utilising Foodbuy technology and data platforms to undertake, measure and record sku optimization programs and outcomes
  • Utilising commercial data to undertake own analysis to support all work and recommendations
  • Working with Foodbuy to gain insight and support to validate proposed opportunities and recommendations within retail product categories for bid responses
  • Working with Foodbuy SCEGS teams to gain insight and support to validate recommendations for all services required in bid responses
  • Working with our Managed Order Guide (MOG) team to create and maintain an online repository of approved sector product lists with live state-based pricing to be utilized as part of bid estimation process
  • Working with culinary leads in the design, challenge and development of supply and cost-effective menus to support our growth

The Person

  • Tertiary education is highly desirable, procurement and supply chain preferable
  • Demonstrable experience in food service, hospitality and/or culinary environment
  • Proven and pragmatic advocate of driving new opportunities through data-driven analysis and recommendations
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office, data analysis and visualisation
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to establish and maintain a positive relationship with senior business stakeholders
  • Leadership in deconstructing & analysing situations and problem solving through to execution and closure.
  • Financially astute and able to create compelling commercial business cases
