Our Business Systems team are looking for an exceptional Business Intelligence Specialist to derive actionable insights from the data that our organisation generates. The analyst will have a good sense of what data to collect and have a solid process for carrying out effective data analyses and building predictive models. You will have a strong foundation in topic such as statistics, operations research and machine learning as well as database skills in order to retrieve, clean and process data from a variety of sources. This role incorporates the need for information visualization skills.

The Role:

• Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data and confidentiality of data
• Conduct full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design
• Develop analysis and reporting capabilities
• Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide reports
• Acquire data from primary and secondary data sources and maintain databases
• Work in collaboration with stakeholders to prioritise business and information needs
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Provide consultancy to business stakeholders to understand their problems (solving business problems through data and analytics, new reporting requirements, trending requirements, etc) and identify data solutions to address
• Generating and delivering quality reports to customers and performing quality assurance checks on reports.
• Conduct technical requirements gathering process for data availability and data source.
• Identify gaps where data is not available
• Support others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards
• Assist with reports and data extraction when needed
• Monitor and analyse information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them
• Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorise modifications and maintenance
• Provide support of the current BI Environment, Publishing, dashboard
• Provide level 3 Tableau Support for Business Units and Developers within the business.

The Person:

You will have significant experience in working across a multi-stream of programs in a complex enterprise environment. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in Tableau Server & Tableau Desktop.

• Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in IT or equivalent experience
• Strong Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases, programming
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets
• Knowledge of SQL server database environment and SQL tools
• Experience developing BI Reporting and Dashboard
• Strong Business Analysis Skills.
