We are currently seeking a qualified Carpenter to join our Delta FM team at Queensland Children's Hospital. You will work with our committed Delta FM maintenance team at this large site in South Brisbane maintaining a variety of mechanical, electrical and various other systems within the hospital campus. 

Key duties

  • Be prepared to carry out a range of carpentry & handyman tasks
  • Fault finding, reactive maintenance and assisting other trades
  • Ensure all the activities are performed in accordance with moral, ethical, legal standards and maintain best FM practice.
  • Actively manage and meet response times, rectification times and deadlines
  • Prioritise and attend to urgent requests
  • Provide mobile device work orders, updates and time estimates, including risk assessments.
  • Conduct maintenance tasks including inspection, classification, repairs and planned works

The Person

  • QLD Carpentry and/or Building Trade Qualification essential
  • Must be available for a rotating, after hours roster
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role(s).
  • Well versed in all maintenance process and workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Proven track record in maintenance, ideally within a healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of QFM would be advantageous
  • Current driver’s license
