Located at Queensland Children's Hospital in South Brisbane, we have a new position within our food services team delivering a quality catering service to customers, patients and clients. This casual role requires a positive attitude, willingness and flexibility to meet the needs of changing priorities and a resilient nature. The successful candidate will have previous experience within a Hospital or food services role, and an understanding of patient confidentiality.
The Role
- Assist with preparing and presenting food
- Deliver professional customer service
- Maintain clean and tidy pantry, nutrition bays and family room areas
- Temperature monitoring
- Familiarity with dietary restrictions, and special modified diets
- Ability to liaise with Dieticians and clinical staff as required
- Receive and rotate stock
The Person:
- An excellent eye for detail
- A sound knowledge in food and/or nutrition preferred
- Personable, a team player who has exceptional communication skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Availability to perform shift work
In line with the required Legislation, must undertake a Police Check, as well as evidence of Vaccine Preventable Diseases (Hepatitis B immunity - Measles, mumps, rubella - Chicken pox - Whooping cough - Tuberculosis Assessment) will be required as part of the standard recruitment and selection process for this position. You must also be vaccinated against COVID 19.
