As an essential services worker your role will be vital, and we’d love for you to be part of the team.  We are currently seeking a Catering Assistant to work within our Mecwa team based in Malvern. This position is a multi-faceted position and requires a hands-on approach to the food service delivery in the kitchen, wards, and various patient areas including snack and beverage stations as well as cleaning duties through the facilities, whilst ensuring company food safety standards and safety procedures are adhered to.

Key responsibilities will also include: 

• Assist with preparing and presenting food
• Deliver professional customer service
• Kitchen and Dining Room Service of Food and Beverage to aged care residents
• Fill out all the required paperwork i.e. temperature monitoring forms, cleaning rosters

To be successful in the role you will need: 

• Previous experience within a Food and Beverage role - within Aged Care is advantageous
• An eye for detail with excellent customer service standards
• A sound knowledge in compliance driven catering techniques
• Personable, a team player who has exceptional communication skills

You'll also need to:

• In line with the required legislation, a valid and current police clearance and influenza vaccination (or be prepared to acquire).
• From 17th September 2021 it is a legislative requirement for all aged care workers to be fully vaccinated against COVID 19.
