Catering Assistant

$25.86 + 12% of superannuation

We’re looking for two part-time Catering Assistants at University of Wollongong! Perfect if you want to pick up extra hours around your studies or enjoy a great work–life balance – shifts finish early, and we’re flexible. Located close to North Wollongong Station with parking available, this role comes with full training and a supportive team, giving you valuable experience and investment in your future.

• Fantastic work–life balance – just 16 hours per week with shifts finishing no later than 8:30 PM

The Position

• Assist the kitchen to prepare and present food and beverages
• Provide friendly customer service
• Fast paced environment
• Operate the till to take orders and process transactions
• Collaborating effectively with the team to ensure smooth operations
• Adhering to hygiene standards and following proper food handling practices.

The Person

• Experience with customer service and basic food handling experience is desired
• Some experience with coffee making is advantageous
• Current Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain
• Have strong organisational skills
• Excels in high-pressure environments
• Thrives in collaborative, small-team settings
• Possesses hands on experience with POS systems
• Friendly, customer-oriented attitude
• Being flexible to handle diverse tasks, from food prep to cleaning based on the needs at that time.
