We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Full Time Chef at the prestigious Wesley College in Camperdown. This role would best suit a chef that has previous experience in a catering environment whilst having a passion for great food and being a part of close team. This college operates across 7 days during the academic term with set rosters and 7.30pm being the latest finish time – love what you do but still have time to enjoy the rest. As part of our recruitment selection process, the successful applicant for this role will need to obtain a current police check.

Key requirements & responsibilities:

• Chef Qualifications with at least 2 years+ experience in a similar role.
• A drive to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• A comprehensive knowledge of all kitchen operations and exciting latest food trends
• Strong attention to detail, leadership qualities and ability to communicate to juniors & senior members of staff.
• An applied knowledge and understanding OHS, Food Safety & HACCP regulations
• Assisting and oversee the preparation, cooking and presentation across our menus and daily specials
• Actively maintain an awareness and desire for nutrition and healthy eating
• Strong HACCP experience across allergen & dietary awareness
• Influencing food costs via portion control, waste minimisation & stock control.
• Ensure the safe production of a high-quality product without comprise to the food safety guidelines provided
