We are looking for a highly motivated and creative Full Time Chef who wants to showcase their appetite for producing exceptional fresh seasonal food and demonstrate their flair and passion at the Melbourne Zoo in Parkville.

The Melbourne Zoo is a premium location and produces the finest quality of food – your skills will be put to the test, your creative limits challenged, and your passion will be able to shine.

The primary role is to be hands on and ensure the food offered at the site is delivered to an exceptional standard.

A bit about you

• Above all else, you are a true foodie with a passion for all things seasonal
• Experience with fresh retail-style menus
• Up to date with food trend and cooking techniques
• High-volume cooking experience
• A champion for a safety-first kitchen

A day in the life

• Produce incredibly delicious culinary offerings in line with current food trends
• Previous experience in a busy high-end cafe will be highly regarded
• Championing the significance and accurate implementation of allergy awareness controls
• Influencing food costs via portion control, waste minimisation and stock control.
• Pursuing and fulfilling great ideas and seeking opportunities for improvement
