The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef Manager to join our team in Mawson Lakes. As the Chef Manager you will be responsible for leading a small culinary team responsible for catering of a busy operation.

The Role

  • Assist and oversee the preparation, cooking and presentation of all our innovative and mouth-watering culinary offerings ensuring that the food you offer at the site is delivered to an exceptional standard across our menus and daily specials
  • Actively maintain a complete awareness and desire for nutrition and healthy eating
  • Championing the significance and ensuring accurate implementation of allergy awareness controls
  • Influencing food costs with special regard to portion control, waste minimisation and stock control.
  • Uphold the fantastic customer focus at all times, responding to feedback positively and proactively
  • Pursuing and fulfilling great ideas and seeking opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure the safe production of a high-quality product without comprise to the food safety guidelines provided
  • Overseeing and accountability for Site Financials, Safety Culture, Staff Development and Training

The Person

  • Previous experience within a similar capacity gained in exciting and influential restaurants, hotels, schools and function environments
  • Strong emphasis on modern, well-being inspired menus with a focus on visual presentation
  • Highly skilled chef, with the ability to switch from café style flair to fine-dining and function standard food
  • Exceptional back of house control, costing and percentage management is expected
  • Ability to maintain a calm and respectful demeanour always; no matter the pressure!
