We are currently recruiting for a Chef Manager that can direct and lead the catering services team focusing on quality menu design, food preparation and service! The ideal candidate will have a good grasp of the operational and financial performances of this business and a hands-on approach to managing that will ensure success.

This role is based at International House, a large boarding college located in St Lucia close to UQ, offering daily food offerings across our Retail and Boarding areas through to Functions and Events. Predominantly a Monday to Friday roster, with Christmas break off - welcome to your perfect work life balance !

• Responsibility for the operational and financial performance of this business
• Direction and leadership of the onsite catering team.
• The provision of catering services across this business,
• Maintaining the focus on quality menu design, food preparation and service and innovation,
• Customer service and satisfaction.

The Person

• A natural leader with a unique approach to education catering bringing flair, warmth and outstanding cuisine in a friendly upmarket setting
• Your experience in the delivery of high-end corporate style functions is imperative as is your ability to navigate a team to success through leadership, training and safety compliance.
• You will be an energetic, progressive, creative professional who will remain pragmatic and focussed in an ever changing and challenging environment.
• The ability to foster close and positive working relationships with staff, key clients and customers is essential as are sound verbal and written communication skills.
