We are recruiting for an experienced Chef Manager. Reporting to the Area Manager you will have the ability to work as a team & independently.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

  • Plan and control menu-based catering
  • Prepare, cook and present food
  • Effectively manage the cost of goods and/or food within the workplace
  • Drive the team to understand the importance of client and/or customer focus, and deliver end-user satisfaction
  • Ensure site and employee presentation meet Compass Group standards & branding
  • Manage finances within a budget 
  • Responsible for the management, development and training of all team members
  • Establish and maintain a safe and secure workplace
  • Establish and maintain an environmentally sustainable workplace
  • Establish and Maintain Safe Food Practices
  • To be responsible for providing great quality services to meet client expectations.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

  • Chef trade qualification
  • Management experience, including rostering, budgets and business management
  • Experience working in an aged-care facility preferred
  • Preparing and organising food items in accordance with menu requirements
  • Managing kitchen stock
  • Complying with hygienic work practices
  • Ensuring customer service standards are maintained
  • Willing to work on weekends and public holidays when needed
