THE POSITION

• Assist and oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all culinary offerings within the site canteen
• Support the monitoring and evaluation of food production and menu-based catering to ensure quality and consistency
• Assist with stock control and provide mentoring and training to staff as needed to foster skill development and teamwork
• Ensure strict adherence to allergy awareness protocols to maintain a safe dining environment
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness at all times

THE PERSON 

• Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery required
• A team player with a positive, enthusiastic attitude and strong work ethic
• Proven experience in bulk food production and à la carte service for events and functions
• Solid knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and infection control practices
• Current National Police Check (within last 3 months)
• Must be an Australian citizen or actively progressing through a residency pathway
• Has reliable transport, as there is limited access to public transport
