We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Full Time Chef to join our team at a prestigious independent school in Stanmore. As a full-time boarding house chef, you will be joining a large culinary team responsible for the catering for our students and faculty. The rostered hours are mostly fixed which provides you with a better work-life balance and stability.
The Role
- Assist and oversee the preparation, cooking and presentation of all our innovative and mouth-watering culinary offerings, ensuring that the food you offer at the site is delivered to an exceptional standard across our menus and daily specials.
- This role is integral in creating that feeling of ‘home’ to our staff and students with health and nutrition driving the menu.
- Ensuring accurate implementation of allergy awareness controls
- Uphold the fantastic customer focus at all times and taking feedback on board.
- Pursuing and fulfilling great ideas and seeking opportunities for improvement
The Person
- Previous experience within a similar capacity gained in exciting and influential cafes, restaurants, hotels, schools and/or function environments
- Strong emphasis on modern, well-being inspired menus with a focus on visual presentation
- Ability to maintain a calm and respectful demeanour at all times!
