$32.00 / hour + 12% Super

• Flexible Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm or 6.30 am - 2.30pm shifts
• Work alongside a supportive and friendly team preparing meals for senior student cafe

THE POSITION

• Prepare fresh, nutritious meals for students
• Contribute to menu ideas using local ingredients
• Monitor stock and minimize wastage
• Adhere to hygiene standards and following proper food handling practices
• Deliver healthy choices and guidance to the future generation

THE PERSON

• A qualified Chef with Cert 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery
• Must have previous experience working in a cafe - commercial environment and working in a fast paced busy environment
• Strong understanding of allergen management and food safety
• Passionate about healthy and nutritious food
• All-rounder experience and able to cook Savoury & sweet desserts
• Able to have a valid working with children's check
• Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations
• Must be able to work autonomously
• Great customer service as this role will be working in an open kitchen
