ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

• Work a 2 week on 1 week off roster, earning a salary of $90,000

The Position 

As a key member of our village catering team, you’ll prepare high-quality, buffet-style meals for breakfast, crib lunch, dinner, and desserts. You’ll work alongside a supportive team of chefs, kitchen utilities, and dining room staff to deliver outstanding food and service for residents.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and serving bulk buffet-style meals with consistency and quality
• Maintaining safe food handling and workplace safety standards
• Managing stock efficiently to minimise wastage
• Providing guidance and support to the broader kitchen team
• Contributing to a positive workplace culture through teamwork, flexibility, and customer focus

The Person

To be successful, you’ll bring:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
• Proven experience in bulk or buffet-style catering
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced kitchen
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety compliance
