As the Chief Kitchen Steward, you will play a vital leadership role in maintaining the highest levels of hygiene and organisation across all back-of-house areas. You’ll lead a team of stewards, ensuring equipment, kitchens, and service areas are spotless, safe, and ready to support the smooth operation of our culinary teams.
Lead, train, and motivate a team of kitchen stewards across multiple outlets and kitchens.
Oversee cleaning operations, including dishwashing, waste management, and sanitation processes.
Manage chemical usage, stock levels, and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Maintain kitchen equipment and coordinate any maintenance or repairs as needed.
Work closely with the culinary and operations teams to ensure efficiency during service periods.
Implement and uphold all health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
Previous experience in a Chief Kitchen Steward or Stewarding Supervisor role within a large-scale hospitality, hotel, or events environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on training and mentoring.
Excellent knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment handling, and hygiene protocols.
Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong communication and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
