Our Opportunity 

As an essential services worker your role will be vital, and we’d love for you to be part of the team.  We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced and compassionate Chef to join our Medirest team based in Padstow.  The successful candidate will be service-centric and truly believe that going the extra mile isn't the exception, it's the expectation.
A bit about you

  • You will be a qualified Chef with Cert III in Commercial Cookery or experienced Cook
  • HACCP Food handling experience
  • Excellent knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Attention to detail and great time management is a must
  • Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations

Key Duties include

  • Food preparation, cooking, and presentation of all food offerings
  • Actively maintain a complete awareness and desire for nutrition and healthy eating as well as allergens and dietary requirements
  • Ensure all OH&S compliance is achieved, and wastage is kept to a minimum
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

You'll also need to: 

  • In line with the required legislation, a valid and current police clearance and influenza vaccination (or be prepared to acquire). 
  • From 17th September 2021 it is a legislative requirement for all health care workers to be fully vaccinated against COVID 19.
