This newly created role is a critical next addition to our high achieving national D&I Team and that’s why we are seeking a passionate, driven, experienced and motivated inclusion ambassador to help drive our ongoing success.

Reporting to the Diversity & Inclusion Manager, this position is based in North Sydney supporting programs across the country, both remotely and in person with travel required predominantly in and around the greater Sydney area and regional NSW with overnight interstate travel required at times.

The Position 

As the Diversity & Inclusion Projects Co-ordinator you will coordinate external stakeholders including, Disability Employment Services, Job Actives, Registered Training Organisations, Department of Education Skills and Employment, Social Enterprise and other key external partners. Internally you will coordinate Operational Leaders and key stakeholder departments such as Recruitment, Compass Academy and Human Resources to deliver employment initiatives and inclusion focused training associated with our 4 Key Pillars of Diversity; First Nations Peoples,  Gender Equity, Disability and Pride, in line with our Strategic Plan.  

  • Lead the implementation, stakeholder engagement, evaluation and reporting for a variety of key Diversity Projects across our business and in line with our KPI’s
  • Promote our diversity initiatives to clients, management and employees of Compass Group through internal and external communication avenues, such as Yammer, social media and contributions to quarterly business reviews.
  • Coordinate and or facilitate appropriate training to support a culture of inclusion and the smooth implementation of programs across the business with a focus on Indigenous Engagement, Gender Equity, Disability and LGBTQ+ awareness.
  • Act as a key representative and advocated for Compass Group when networking with external networks including Peak bodies, EEO groups and forums (including public speaking!)

 The Person

This position would best suit a strong projects leader with sound experience in the D&I space, specific experience relating to our 4 key pillars would be ideal!  Success would come from exceptional project management skills, a high level of resilience and personal motivation and the confidence and ability to influence and engage a variety of stakeholders across a geographically dispersed, matrix organisation.
