The Position
This is a 12-month fixed term full-time position that will be supporting the General Services Manager, to ensure the smooth operations of the Environmental Services team.
The Environmental Services Support Manager will be responsible for daily cleaning and waste management operations to ensure Compass meets the Public Private Partnership (PPP) contractual service delivery outcomes, ensuring that that all tasks completed in compliance with the contractual requirements of the site.
Manage the delivery of safe and efficient cleaning operations across the hospital (including clinical and non-clinical areas, public areas, infectious cleaning, public areas, routine & non routine cleaning).
Compliance with Audits
Lead, develop and manage an effective team, including but not limited to rostering and managing client requests and feedback.
Monitor financial activities against budget and allocate budget resources.
Purchase and manage stock to minimise product wastage.
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships.
Manage compliance of infection control policies and procedures, following Compass Group Health, Safety and Security procedures
The Person:
Strong team management skills with experience in cleaning operations in a healthcare or aged care environment
Demonstrated experience at management level, qualifications/experience in healthcare or business management will be highly valued
Strong commercial acumen is essential with intermediate to advanced excel skills
Ability to connect with key stakeholders and deliver superior service levels
Proactive leader who is professional, positive, supportive, and motivated with experience in recruiting, mentoring, training and developing a team of hospital assistants
