We are seeking expressions of interest from internal Compass Group Executive Chefs who may be interested in relocating to Southern NSW to lead a new, multi services village camp operation.

While the position can shift to FIFO (2:1) down the track, given the on-going challenges with border restrictions we would like the Executive Chef to commit to 12-18 months living in/around the Southern Region.

The Executive Chef, will provide leadership across all village culinary offerings.  They will be responsible for maintaining effective business relationships with clients, and for meeting the safety, people and financial targets of not only the mobilisation but the on-going commercial contract.

This is an EOI only. We want to pipeline for key roles so we’re ready to go when we win the tender!

We’re keen to hear from those who can:

  • Develop and implement consistent food standards, operating concepts, and programs.
  • Update and refresh existing ESS culinary concepts to improve quality, cost, safety, resident/patient experience or choice.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in performance against budget without compromising food quality, presentation or the overall dining experience.
  • Coach the culinary team to ensure the delivery of best value quality services, effective forward planning, meeting of objectives, management of priorities and the appropriate delegation of responsibilities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in spotting and developing culinary talent.
  • Model and drive a culture of open communication at all levels to create an environment where employees are engaged in business objectives and activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry standards, “best practice”, trends and fashions in F&B including an understanding of initiatives adopted by our competitors.
