We are seeking an experienced and passionate Hospitality and Events Manager to join our team onsite at one of our corporate sites in Kirribilli, Sydney. As an experienced hospitality professional, you will be accountable for creating amazing client experiences and developing positive relationships with our stakeholders. This is an exciting role with responsibility for the management, and training of all team members – bring your extensive 5 star catering and enjoy work life balance!
THE POSITION
- Firmly making your mark on the business; building and leveraging positive customer and client relationships to achieve our partnership objectives
- Provide exceptional leadership to get the best out of every team member by listening, coaching, supporting and developing them to optimise their performance
- Effectively oversee all events and in house catering including but not limited to functions and events. Ensuring they are performing to the highest brand standards and that there is a constant focus on innovation and development
- Commercial performance including adherence to budgets, proactive management of operational costs, management of safety outcomes and improved employee capability and engagement
THE PERSON
- A demonstrated background within hospitality management roles or a similar corporate environment with commitment to quality and innovation, creating a positive and engaging workplace culture and a showing a genuine passion for delivering market leading and on trend food and beverage experiences
- Strong and effective leadership skills as well as the ability to support, motivate, effectively manage, and communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- A positive, supportive and ambitious leader style, with experience in carrying out personal development plans, staff training sessions and appraisals
- Strong financial and analytical skills in developing budgets and allocating appropriate resources to ensure a sustainable & profitable business
- Advanced computer skills and a good understanding of workplace health and safety and food safety requirements
- Relevant qualification in hospitality, or equivalent industry experience, is required
