The Position

The role of the Events Operations Manager is to manage, deliver and strongly drive our regular function business, to not only boost overall revenue but also to engage our regular client base. The role is at its core an event management role that drives business through exceptional delivery of service from enquiry to delivery. 

Sales experience will be highly valued in increasing function bookings. Your responsibilities will include the provision of exciting and modern food created by our talented chefs, and an exceptional standard of function services along with leading and mentoring your experienced and professional team. Your high-level communication skills are paramount as you will be dealing with diverse clientele – conference style meetings through to formal dinners and cocktail functions. This is a unique opportunity to join a team with a well-established reputation for providing seamless service. This role will be predominantly Monday – Friday however, as a 7 day per week operation, you will be expected to ensure the continued level of service throughout the week and weekend and evening hours are required on occasion

In this role you will create and market function packages, receive and organise function enquiries, submit function quotes for enquires and ensure packages meet client needs. There will be a strong focus on seeking and acquiring new function business by developing a strong strategy to achieve sales targets

The Person

• Previous experience within a similar capacity at one of Australia's exciting and influential cafes, restaurants or hotels
• Sales experience ideally in a hospitality environment
• Impeccable personal presentation and an eye for detail
• Strong emphasis on modern visual presentation
• Effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
• Exceptional back of house control including induction and training of casual workers; accurate administration to ensure correct invoicing and cost recovery
• Ability to maintain a calm and respectful demeanour at all times; no matter the pressure!
• Be passionate about the school community and making a positive and meaningful contribution
