Compass Group is a world leader in catering and support services. ESS is the market leading support services division of Compass Group, providing multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, defence and offshore sectors. Due to anticipated growth across our largest remote portfolio in the Surat Basin, Queensland we are looking for experienced FIFO Chefs.
The successful candidates will work 14 days on, 7 days off - 10 hour days.
$97549 + super + flights ex Brisbane, accommodation and meals provided.
The Position
Work collaboratively with a team of Chefs, Kitchen Utilities and Dining Room employees
Buffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast, Crib, Lunch, and / or Dinner and Desserts
Ensure OH&S compliance, adhering to safe work practices and food handling procedures
Ensure all catering controls are in place, and wastage is kept to a minimum
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards
Assist Head Chefs in managing team performance and employee development
The Person
Chef Qualifications / Cert III in Commercial Cookery
Experience within bulk catering environments
Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations
Experience in menu writing, rostering and cost control
Experience with hygienic work practices and appropriate HACCP guidelines
