Salary $95,073 - $120,000 plus superannuation.

ESS provides multi service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

Are you a Sous or Head Chef looking to take your next step in a rewarding and challenging role? We are looking for Chefs with leadership experience to lead our kitchen operations across our ESS sites in WA, to deliver high quality meals for a diverse workforce.

The Position

• Manage, lead and support day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Ensures all tasks associated with food production are done according to food safety regulations.
• Develop team and culinary capability and creating an environment of inclusivity.
• Develop menus and meal plans to meet dietary and cultural requirements on site while ensuring maximum utilisation of stock.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control.
• Able to work under pressure while maintaining a professional manner.
• Ensure efficient operations during busy service times, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The Person:

• Hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a Trade Certificate
• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume catering environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP).
• Have function and menu development skills.
• Exceptional leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Have proficient computer skills.
• Able to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening and national police clearance.
• Have full work rights in Australia.
• Be flexible to work on a FIFO/DIDO roster, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
