The Position

We’re looking for a creative genius to join our Design and Brand team located in our Melbourne Office. A new addition to the team, this Graphic Design role and will be responsible for providing design support for materials used in printed and multi mediums for the effective marketing and promotion, and operational delivery of programs and services at Compass Group.

This role also supports special projects for marketing and communications to both internal and external clients.  The role works with Compass Group images in accordance with visual identity guides in providing graphic support for printed and digital materials, brochures and marketing material, brand development and implementation, in-unit promotions, proposals and tender documents, and special projects.

You’ll take a collaborative approach in this role, work with a wide range of stakeholders, be an excellent communicator and thrive in a busy and diverse environment.

Key Duties

  • Brand management by continually refresh and update brand templates
  • Create site based bespoke design concepts to ensure site collateral is professional, contemporary and brand aligned
  • Design, produce, format, print and dispatch high quality design concepts or project materials
  • Work with operators and business managers nationally, to ensure appropriate levels of support are provided for business development, business reinvigoration, and operational imperatives
  • Provide mobilisation support across all sectors where required, to maximise consumer participation from day one of operation
  • Work with site operators, OR leaders and support services to gather information necessary to enable design or project completion
  • Monitor market, industry and competitor hospitality trends and generate ideas for implementation of merchandising and marketing strategies
  • A strong portfolio of outstanding graphic design and typography skills with a heavy focus on print, digital and branding.
  • Ensure correct usage of licensing and data protection is considered in all outputs thus protecting our client and customer relationships

The Person

  • Advanced level use of Adobe Creative Cloud suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator)
  • Highly Desirable but not essential (Premier Pro and After Effects)
  • Advanced skills in the use of Office applications required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong typography, typesetting and layout skills
  • Experience with branding, campaign and advertising work (including print, social and digital)
  • Ability to take a brief from initial concept through to final delivery
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A solid knowledge of printing processes and ability to manage external suppliers to deliver a high-quality product
  • Self-motivated, pro-active
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Creative thinker and ability to adapt to suit different brands
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Passion for hospitality and food service
