We are looking for an experienced Part Time Handyperson to join our fantastic team! You will be specifically responsible for overseeing maintenance and cleaning services across our Bandiana Barracks in Wodonga. 

We have a great training and on-boarding program in place – with extensive training provided. This role is suitable for a physically fit person with a good attitude and a great eye for detail! Our team are responsible for the general maintenance of the accommodation facilities internally and externally, including the grounds and gardens maintenance. 

Key Duties

• Responding to service requests for building maintenance
• Maintenance of the facilities grounds and gardens
• Providing support to site cleaning staff
• Specialised cleaning where required
• Participating in an on-call after hours roster
• Some small administrative tasks related to cleaning throughout shifts

The Person

• We want a friendly, hardworking team member to join us
• Previous maintenance and grounds experience is desirable, but not mandatory
• Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the job; including regularly climbing stairs and operating maintenance equipment such as mower, whipper snipper etc.
• Flexible approach and attitude with the ability to work autonomously
• Because we are work on a Defence site, Australian citizens only can be considered 
• Applicant required to pass Australian Federal Police check prior to commencement of employment
