This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking for a long term Handy Person role based on our client site at Enoggera. 

We have a great training and on-boarding program in place – with extensive training provided. This role is suitable for a physically fit person with a good attitude and a great eye for detail! Our team are responsible for the general maintenance of the accommodation facilities internally and externally, including the grounds and gardens maintenance. 

The position 

Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor you will be responsible for:

  • Responding to service requests for building maintenance
  • Maintenance of the facilities grounds and gardens
  • Some small administrative tasks related to maintenance throughout shifts.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience;

  • We want a friendly, hardworking team member to join us
  • Knowledge and experience of general maintenance / grounds maintenance in hotel style or Defence Garrison Support Services accommodation would be highly advantageous.
  • Grounds and horticulture awareness
  • Competent in operating general maintenance and grounds equipment and chemical handling
  • Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control (ACDC) licence
  • Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the job; including regularly climbing stairs and operating maintenance equipment such as mower, whipper snipper etc.
  • Flexible approach and attitude with the ability to work autonomously
  • Because we are work on a Defence site, Australian citizens only can be considered 
  • Valid Drivers Licence 
  • Applicant required to pass Australian Federal Police check prior to commencement of employment

With an immediate start available, successful candidates will be required to complete a Pre-Employment Medical, and Blue Card Application
