THE POSITION:

• Plan, supervise, and monitor the food production and menu-based catering 
• Responsible for stock control, budgets, rostering, & staff management
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards
• Deliver to our client and customers high expectations of a premium experience
• Establish strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure best price and quality of produce
• Monitor stock and minimize food wastage
• Lead, train, and mentor team members 

THE PERSON

• Minimum Cert. III Commercial Cookery
• Solid leadership experience in a Head Chef role or similar
• Strong understanding of allergen management and food safety
• Passionate about healthy and nutritious food, finesse in plating, knowing that presentation matters
• Have a genuine passion for using sustainable practices and local produce 
• Finesse in plating, knowing that presentation matters
• Strong financial acumen relevant to labour and cost control
• A highly structured and organised approach, managing multiple tasks simultaneously

** Successful candidate must be able to pass an ASIC security clearance background check
