Restaurant Associates are a team of world class hospitality and fine-cuisine professionals, delivering contemporary food solutions and service across leading corporations and iconic venues all across Australia.

THE POSITION

• Daily operations of the Garden Restaurant kitchen providing high quality seated a la carte lunches
• Order and control stock and manage costs in line with business requirements and budgets
• Develop and mentor the team to deliver to the highest standards
• Champion the significance and accurate implementation of allergy awareness controls
• Ensure operations comply with OH&S and food safety guidelines
• Occasional collaborations with Melbourne Chef’s when restaurant opens on selected nights
• Develop a solid understanding of the wider goals of the business and clients, whilst maintaining strong attention to detail

THE PERSON

• Chef's trade qualifications, with +2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a Hatted restaurant.
• Comfortable working under pressure, unsupervised and to tight deadlines
• Experience working on high-end client functions
• Strong attention and respect for OH&S, Food Safety & HACCP regulations
• Team leadership skills, including onboarding, training, communication, and performance management
• Professional approach to problem solving in high pressure environments
• A current police check or ability to obtain is a mandatory requirement of this role
