Nestled on 169 acres in the Southern Highlands of NSW, the school provides a holistic education grounded in care, curriculum and communication. This role offers the opportunity to deliver a seamless food service and create high‑quality meals for students, while running the kitchen efficiently. You will lead a team of up to five in a supportive and welcoming environment, ensuring consistency, quality and a positive experience for all.

THE POSITION
  • Responsible for direction, coaching and hands‑on support to drive a strong onsite team.
  • Lead menu design, food preparation and high‑quality service delivery across all offerings.
  • Plan, supervise and monitor production for functions and daily in‑house catering.
  • Build strong relationships while maintaining excellence in food safety, allergen control and OHS.
  • Oversee procurement, stock management, cost control and minimise food wastage.

 

THE PERSON
  • Available to commit to the full contract period - July- December 2026
  • Qualified chef with minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery
  •  Creative culinary leader, strong presentation skills, and a passion for seasonal, local produce
  • Engaging communicator able to build positive relationships with staff, clients and students
  • Experienced team mentor with a track record in training, developing and guiding teams and delivering corporate‑style functions
  • Adaptable and energetic professional who can multitask, forward‑plan, remain focused in changing environments
  • Hold (or obtain) a Working with Children Check
