Restaurant Associates are a team of world class hospitality and fine-cuisine professionals, delivering contemporary food solutions and service across leading corporations and iconic venues all across Australia.

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead the culinary operations at a high-volume, tech-driven trading firm in Sydney CBD. This Monday to Friday role involves managing onsite catering, functions, and events, with a focus on creative, fine dining menus using locally sourced, fresh ingredients tailored to client needs.

You’ll be leading a strong, collaborative kitchen team in a corporate environment, crafting everything from beautifully balanced daily menus to elegant canapé functions and working within the wellness space.

The Position:

  • Managing daily culinary operations and exceeding quality standards.
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring a kitchen team to foster creativity, excellence, and safety.
  • Ensuring effective communication and maintaining a collaborative kitchen culture.
  • Managing menu costings, forecasting, budgeting, and driving operational efficiency.
  • Overseeing the kitchen’s transition to new premises in June.
  • Promoting allergy awareness and ensuring compliance with OH&S and food safety guidelines.
  • Planning and developing seasonal, sustainable menus with innovative offerings.

The Person

  • Chef trade qualifications with at least 3 years of senior culinary experience.
  • High end/fine dining experience is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Commercial acumen with budget management experience.
  • Experience in a corporate or client-based environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including ordering and payroll.
  • Food Safety – Supervisory certificate.
