The Position

Reporting to the General Services Manager within a healthcare environment, the Human Resources Business Partner is a dynamic and unique position supporting a 350 strong employee base. You will be responsible for partnering with our divisional management team to work together to drive employee engagement, employee relations and generalist HR activities. This is a fanatic opportunity to own a broad and diverse HR generalist role, partnering with supportive senior managers.

Key Duties

  • Provide generalist HR advice to managers across a broad range of HR areas
  • Develop and positively influence relationships with Unions
  • Assist in the resolution of employee grievances
  • Coach Leaders to improve their leadership capability and promote practices consistent with creating a high performing climate.
  • Partner with site leaders to roll-out People initiatives, strategies and tools to drive staff engagement
  • Collaborate with the broader People team to ensure a seamless delivery to all stakeholders
  • Assist with reporting and data requests and monitoring compliance with our industrial instruments
  • Support strategies and programs to increase diversity and talent pipelining.

The Person

  • Broad range of generalist HR experience, within a workforce that is unionised
  • Strong industrial relations and Union experience is essential
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and influence positive change
  • Proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to own and end-to-end role
  • Proactive, well organised, and can work autonomously in an unsupervised environment
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Safety First advocate & change agent
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations
