We are currently seeking a qualified Hydraulic Supervisor to join our team at Queensland Children’s Hospital.

The Position

• Responsible for mechanical maintenance, including management and leadership of in-house technical resources and special subcontractors.
• Conduct comprehensive inspections and produce reports on nominated facilities and equipment on behalf of the Engineering Manager.
• Develop and manage maintenance plans; ensure performance-based maintenance services are provided, ensuring correction of all defects and compliance with all standards and statutory requirements
• Assist in the continual development and performance site specific management plans; wastewater, air quality and water quality
• Lead, mentor and monitor your mechanical team’s daily performance via Tableau and/or QFM dashboards and provide necessary direction and coaching to ensure contract maintenance performance is achieved.
• Schedule and conduct monthly sub-contractor performance meetings
• Working with the Maintenance Planner to drive asset maintenance best practice and improve processes and job flow
• Drive WHS compliance and best practice, ensuring that staff are familiar with WHS requirements and following safe work practices.

The Person

• Full QBCC plumbing and drainer license (QLD)
• Contractor licence for nominee appointment (desirable)
• Plumbing licence endorsements (desirable):
  • Backflow prevention
  • Thermostatic mixing valve
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Physically fit and reliable
• Dual Trade – electrical/gas trade qualification (desirable)
• Well versed in all maintenance process and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Experience with leading a team as a supervisor or team leader
• QFM experience or other CMMS systems are highly desirable
• Strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to lead and mentor teams both
• Attention to detail is key!
