We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Manager, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and management of infrastructure, facilities, and equipment at the our Eureka mining camp, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role requires a strong trade background, particularly in electrical maintenance and management, with the ability to lead and coordinate planning, facilities management, and maintenance activities across the site and compliant to QLD Coal legislation.
The Position
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans for infrastructure, facilities, and equipment, with a focus on electrical systems.
Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair works, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards, especially in electrical maintenance.
Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services necessary for maintenance activities, optimizing costs and resources.
Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance teams, particularly in electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute infrastructure improvement projects, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and compliance documentation, with a specific emphasis on electrical systems.
Utilise computer systems and software to track maintenance schedules, inventory, and budgetary allocations.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external contractors to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations, applying this knowledge to optimize infrastructure performance and longevity.
Exercise strong commercial acumen in managing budgetary allocations for maintenance and infrastructure projects.
Ensure compliance with the Office of Federal Safety Commission Accreditation Scheme and other relevant regulatory requirements.
Actively participate in safety meetings, inspections, and audits, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Assist with the development and implementation of risk management strategies for infrastructure-related hazards.
Provide leadership and guidance to maintenance staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
A 9:5 roster FIFO from Brisbane, or DIDO from Central QLD is available.
The Person
Trade background with a minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance and management.
Suitable trade backgrounds could be qualified electrician, fitter, boilermaker, builder, or plumber
Valid driver's license.
Demonstrated ability to schedule and plan maintenance works effectively.
Proficiency in computer skills, including the use of maintenance management software.
Strong knowledge of building and maintenance practices.
Strong commercial acumen with budget management experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of the Office of Federal Safety Commission Accreditation Scheme.
Desired experience, but not mandatory includes:
Experience on a Queensland coal mine (desired but not mandatory).
Diploma in Facilities Management.
Diploma/Certificate IV in Project Management.
Sound technical/trade problem-solving skills.
