The Position

Due to anticipated growth, we are looking for an experienced Injury Coordinator. Aligning our safety culture across operations, developing and maintaining a safety leadership programme and approach across all levels of the business. Based in WA  on a Monday to Friday roster. Successful candidates will also focus on driving regular and sustainable improvement in our safety performance; conducting regular safety interactions with all levels within the teams, ensuring safety compliance and supporting any investigations, demonstrating tenacity to get to root cause identification.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders' this position is to provide guidance, support and reporting to BHP portfolio management, HSEQ teams, BHP Stakeholders and Corporate departments regarding all injuries related to the BHP portfolio.

The primary functions of the role are:

• Coordinate all injury reports to ensure contractual classification, reporting and close out of injuries related to any BHP site.
• Ensure internal documentation and reporting is maintained at all times.
• Develop and distribute reports, data analysis and statistics to internal stakeholders for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.

Work closely with Compass Care to ensure injured workers requiring Workers Compensation assistance are supported and returned to work in a supported environment in accordance with the Compass Group culture and legislative requirements.

Experience Required

• Minimum of two years of experience in Health and Safety related environment,
• Qualifications in Health and Safety, Environmental.
• Experience in the management of injured workers and the Workers Compensation system
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and high level of computer literacy
