Infrastructure Specialist – Cloud & Network

Your Impact

As part of our Digital & Technology (D&T) team, you’ll be at the forefront of designing and maintaining robust infrastructure across on-premise, cloud, and network environments. You’ll lead technical problem-solving, optimize cloud platforms, and contribute to strategic projects that shape how Compass Group delivers services across Australia.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor and maintain high-performance infrastructure to ensure reliability and security.
• Resolve complex technical issues escalated from Level 2 support — across servers, networks, cloud services, identity, and backup systems.
• Administer and optimize AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and other cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to deliver seamless solutions.
• Lead or support infrastructure projects from planning to execution.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles.
• Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure processes and service delivery.

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

• 3+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or cloud/network engineering.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based change and incident management.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud technologies.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

• Certifications in Cisco, Meraki, Microsoft, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with automation/scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform).
• Exposure to endpoint management and monitoring tools (e.g., WhatsUp Gold, AWS/Azure native monitoring).
