Laundry Attendant

$25.86 per hour + 25% Casual Loading

The Position

• Cleaning Operations: Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and garments.
• Stain Treatment: Identifying stains and applying appropriate chemicals/procedures for removal.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operating and cleaning industrial washers and dryers, including cleaning lint filters.
• Inventory & Tracking: Keeping records of items, tracking inventory of cleaning supplies, and reporting damaged linens.
• Customer/Guest Service: Assisting with guest inquiries, handling personal laundry requests, and delivering items.
• Safety & Sanitation: Adhering to health regulations and maintaining a clean, orderly laundry room.

The Person

• Experienced Cleaners from a commercial or hotel background would be highly regarded but training is provided
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and ability to work independently and unsupervised as required
• Experience with operating cleaning equipment, and an understanding of WHS within a cleaning environment
• Great communication skills
• Physically fit and reliable, able to stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 15kg.
